I'm up on the Gold Coast for a bit of a break before we really get into the new year. It's been great so far, catching up with friends and family. Yesterday we took a little trip to one of my favourite places to visit on the Gold Coast, Mount Tambourine. We've had many a day trip and girl's weekend away to the mountion over the years, and a few years back on one of those girl's weekend, we literally stumbled(we were actually on the hunt for a bottle shop to stock up on champagne) into the quaintest place called Tea and Niceties. It was a freezing cold winter's day and we noticed a warm glow coming from this tiny building situated behind a little shopping centre. On further inspection we discovered the most beautiful, enchanting place one could possibly hope to dine in. It's run by a mother and daughter team, whose attention to detail is exceptional. They serve traditional High Tea in a very girly, pink haven with fine bone china, lots of pink roses and delicious food. If you are anywhere near Mt Tambourine, I highly recommend you visit this tearoom, but make sure you reserve a table as it is always booked out. oh it looks so pretty!
The best high tea I've ever had was here. The tea list and food is divine! And the decor is so beautiful.
How amazing.... I love it! I could make a special trip up to QLD just to have high tea.....couldn't I. he he he.
I concur...the prettiest, most delicious, girly High Tea you'll ever find. Definitely worth a trip up if you are visiting the GC - and should become a firm favourite for you locals...possibly not your Hubby/boyfriends cup of tea (LOL) the girly decor might hurt his eyes!
This place looks amazing, I am going to have to have a special 30th birthday high tea there in May.
Hi Romantic Girl,
You won't be disappointed, it is the most beautiful place. Happy 30th for May. Kate
