Eva Mendes in a Dior gown, but it was the stunning turquoise necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels that set her outfit apart
Olivia Wilde in a fairy princess gown by Reem Acra divided critics
Anne Hathaway in a classic Armani Prive gown
Drew Barrymore in Dior Haute Couture (beautiful dress but her hair was huge)
Cameron Diaz in Chanel Haute Couture
Evan Rachel Woods in Elie Saab
I love the awards season so, so much. All of it, the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, BAFTAs and the grand finale, the Oscars. Like most people, I love watching the red carpet with family and friends, and choosing our favourite looks. Then there's the 'what were they thinking' outfits - Renne Zellweger, Jane Fallon (Ricky Gervais' wife) and Rachel Griffiths, seriously, what were you thinking?!
But back to the good, I loved Drew Barrymore's dress by Dior Haute Couture (her hair was a bit big for the gown), Evan Rachel Woods in Elie Saab looked fabulous, as did Anne Hathaway and Penelope Cruz, both in Armani Prive. Cameron Diaz looked pretty in pink from Chanel Haute Couture. Olivia Wilde's frothy lavender gown by Reem Acra was divine, but divided critics who either loved it or hated it! And Eva Mendes turquoise necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels was stunning. But my favourite look of the night was Maggie Gyllenhaal in a one-shouldered blue and purple leopard print dress from Lanvin's recent collection. Not a popular choice in our household last night, but I love her quirky look and the fashion risks she takes.

How beautiful is Eva Mendes necklace! I wonder where I can track down a similar one...for a fraction of the price!
Isn't it divine, I want one too!
