A Magic Makeover!

   A few coats of paint, new fabric and three new seats!

Today I'm sharing some D.I.Y., however I can't take credit for this job! My sister in-law just emailed me through a project she worked on over the weekend. She picked up these old brown stools from The Salvation for $10, for all three. Then she set about sanding, painting and recovering the seats in Paula Prass' Garden Trellis in aqua. I think they look fabulous!

                           Here's my beautiful $6 pineapple lamp.

I've been coveting a pineapple lamp ever since seeing the beautiful lime green lamp in Elizabeth's guest room over at Peacock Feathers. And over the weekend my sister in-law found me one on the Gold Coast for the a super cheap price of $6. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with her find!!

I'm thinking of spraying the base a gloss white and getting a new shade covered in Rubie Green's East Village fabric or the base a glossy aqua or watermelon pink and a shade in Rubie Green's 'Megan' fabric. What do you think?

Over the weekend my sister and I went hunting for old beauty table seats that we could do up for our change rooms in the new shop. 

Our Nanna had a fluffy purple seat when we were growing up which we loved, and we wanted to find something similar - minus the fluffy purple cover. We hit the jackpot  at the first place we visited, finding two old seats plus the gorgeous vintage floral fabric.

 So we now have two new seats for under $50 with plenty of fabric left over to make some pretty cushions.
