Continuing on from my last post I thought I would share some of the images that are inspiring us in our shop style. I will never forget walking into the Fleur Wood's store in Paddington and being absolutely blown away by the beautiful ballerina wallpaper (which I have tried to hunt down ever since to no avail) or the eclectic sweetness of Douglas & Hope's Block Arcade store in Melbourne.

Shop Ideas
My sister and I had been discussing how we were going to decorate the window in the new shop for the opening. We had come up with lots of different, elaborate ideas until we saw this picture from a wedding on Our Blog of Love and it changed our minds completely.
We've now bought a whole heap of white lanterns, which will hang in the front window in a cluster. We figured we have so much going on in the shop with wallpaper, striped walls and prints, that the simple white lanterns will look fabulous. What do you think?

Rubie Green - 'East Village' Fabric
Here's my beautiful $6 pineapple lamp.
I've been coveting a pineapple lamp ever since seeing the beautiful lime green lamp in Elizabeth's guest room over at Peacock Feathers. And over the weekend my sister in-law found me one on the Gold Coast for the a super cheap price of $6. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with her find!!
I'm thinking of spraying the base a gloss white and getting a new shade covered in Rubie Green's East Village fabric or the base a glossy aqua or watermelon pink and a shade in Rubie Green's 'Megan' fabric. What do you think?

Searching for the Perfect Wallpaper
This print isn't a wallpaper but a painting by Chris Chun, but I'd love to find something similar in a wallpaper print.
We're just in the middle of sorting out the shop fit-out for the new store. We're keeping the look similar to our first shop so we'll be having a pale pink and white candy striped wall, but we also want to use a beautiful wallpaper. We're looking for a similar style to the wallpapers featured above and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest anything they may have seen in their travels that they think may be suitable. So if you have any ideas let me know via the comments section. Thanks x

Our Labor of Love
I first saw photos from photography duo Whitney and Jesse , the team behind Our Labor of Love on A Room Somewhere's blog. I was blown away by how gorgeous the images are and how uniquely they capture people's special moments. It was really hard going to pick my favourite images as they are all so beautiful, but here are a few. Check out their blog at www.ourblogoflove.com.
Have a great weekend.

Little Green Genie
This is not my normal kind of thing to write about, not being about beautiful homes and pretty little things. However it is something rather important in the scheme of things, plus it is the brainchild of my brother who has come up with a fabulous way of reducing the impact we have on the environment due to the amount of carbon emitted when we use our computers.
Little Green Genie is a tiny piece of software that measures how much you use your computer and then calculates the amount of carbon you emit as a direct result of that usage. As you use your computer the software automatically reduces your pre-purchased carbon credit. So for about $10 a year you can become a zero carbon computer user.
You can read more about Little Green Genie and join up and help save the environment one step at a time at www.littlegreengenie.com. Make sure you check out the FAQ section which answers pretty much any question you could have. We are just about to sign up Enchanted Closet, with the end goal being zero carbon computers for the business.

Beautiful Bedheads
I was inspired to do this post by the gorgeous picture of SJP and family. What a beautiful family shot and that headboard is stunning. So here are some of my favourite bedheads I had filed away.

More D.I.Y.
One of the finished seats.
The seats in their original fluffy state.
Over the weekend my sister and I went hunting for old beauty table seats that we could do up for our change rooms in the new shop.
Our Nanna had a fluffy purple seat when we were growing up which we loved, and we wanted to find something similar - minus the fluffy purple cover. We hit the jackpot at the first place we visited, finding two old seats plus the gorgeous vintage floral fabric.
So we now have two new seats for under $50 with plenty of fabric left over to make some pretty cushions.

A Luxe Life
I love these dreamy photos from an editorial in French Glamour inspired by the laid-back luxe lifestyle of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. It's amazing how much the models look like them, although maybe with Johnny that's not too hard - long brown hair, glasses and beanie.....
