The Painted Chair

I set about painting an old chair red on the weekend and I love how it turned out. It's added a splash of colour in my dining area. I was inspired by this table I saw at Black and Spiro, Brisbane a few months ago which had been painted a gloss red. Now I'm thinking about getting a bit of a collection together of mismatched different coloured chairs like the pictures above.

Thank you for your kind mention. The chairs are from my book The Find: The Housing Works Book of Decorating With Thrift Shop Treasures, Flea Market Objects, and Vintage Details. There are tons of other painted chairs within its pages that you and your readers might enjoy, if you haven't already seen the book, it's available on Amazon, as well as other on-line retailers. Paint is our friend, especially when it comes to sprucing up a lowly wooden chair! Stan

I love that chair! I have always wanted to paint a chair red since I saw it in Elle Decoration a while ago! So gorgeous. xx
