Nila Nila Lip Balm

This fantastic Melbourne product called Nila Nila Pout Lip Balm arrived in the shop this week. It's certified organic and contains goodies like Fair Trade cocoa and shea butter, triple fold organic essence and virgin coconut oil. The Summer 08/09 collection features five different scents including lime, coco, limon, arancia and minty. But the best thing about this product....the gorgeous pin-up girls packaging! $12.95 available in store and available online in the New Year.

The Merry Christmas Table

Here's a picture of our Christmas table this year. I went very traditional, with a lot of red and white and a little bit of orange. Even though it was a small gathering this year (half the family was in Qld), a great time was had by all..........

My favourite blog at the moment is Absolutely Beautiful Things by Anna Spiro, a Brisbane based Interior Designer and owner of Black and Spiro. Anna's pictures of her own home, shop and her work, inspires me to take chances when decorating my own home and our shop. On my Christmas wish list this year  is a piece of art from Australian artist David Bromley. It's highly unlikely I will find one of his artworks under my Christmas tree, but a girl can always dream!

We were going through our old childhood books last night and stumbled across one of our favourites. Written by Gilbert Delahaye, the Debbie series were beautifully illustrated by Belgian illustrator, Marcel Marlier. Our absolute favourite was 'Debbie's Birthday Party'. We just had to share some of the gorgeous illustrations with you!

Miss Haidee

Miss Haidee arrived today at The Enchanted Closet. This beautiful children's clothing label is the brainchild of Byron Bay local Haidee Neill. All her garments are hand-made from vintage fabrics, ranging from newborn to size 8. Haidee's range includes Baby Rompers, Summer Frocks and Tommy Boy Pants. Tea Pony and Belle & Boo

I had the pleasure today of talking to Esa from Tea Pony. Esa is a very talented Australian designer who uses vintage fabrics to make stunning clothing creations for children. Our absolute favourite is the Belle & Boo Dress. Esa has teamed up with UK illustrator Mandy Sutcliffe to create the Belle & Boo Dress, which will be available at The Enchanted Closet soon.

Maiden Luxe

The new Maiden Luxe range will be available later this week, both in store and online. This gorgeous Australian made label features beautiful sleepwear made from fabrics sourced from around the world. Keep an eye out for the Bloom Lounge Pants. These cotton voile wide leg pj pants are my favourite!

Sewing Homage

In homage to all those who sew out there, we have put vintage Vogue, McCalls, Style, Simplicity and Butterick sewing patterns to good use and wallpapered our change room with them. A big thank you to our Mum who spent many hours when we were kids making us matching pinafores and Holly Hobbie dresses ♥

Lark Organic Soaps

We are loving these Lark organic soaps. Made in Australia from organic coconut, olive, palm and sunflower oils and essential oils of lavender and mandarin, they feature gorgeous vintage prints that will take you straight back to your childhood (if you're a 70s child).

Next week sees the arrival of the beauty brand Spa Paradisa at the Enchanted Closet. This tropical inspired range includes products such as Coconut and Frangipani Body Butter, Watermelon and Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Body Wash and Jasmine and Ylang Ylang Bath Soak. We can't wait to try them.
